Jawline treatments can dramatically improve the overall appearance of your face.
Having a defined jawline can make you look more youthful, fit and attractive.
Surgery used to be the only viable option to transform the appearance of a jawline; however, with all the advances in non-surgical options, there are now many effective treatments with little to no downtime.
For long-lasting, natural-looking results, a combination of treatments will improve the overall quality of your skin and sculpt your jawline.
Here’s a quick overview of treatment options that create beautiful, natural-looking results when combined:
1. Radiofrequency Microneedling
Radiofrequency microneedling devices such as Morpheus8 and Endymed Intensif stimulate collagen production, giving the face, neck, or body a rejuvenated appearance. The RF frequencies penetrate deep into the dermal layers, resulting in tighter, smoother skin. The best results occur with three treatments. You will experience some swelling for three to five days after the treatments, but the results last about one year.
2. Dermal Filler
Strategically placed dermal fillers can sharpen angles along your jawline and reshape your chin. The treatment creates more separation between your jawline and neck, resulting in a more youthful, streamlined appearance. Jawline and chin dermal filler can also address asymmetries, sagging skin and deep lines. The results last a year to sometimes two years.
3. BOTOX or Dysport
As we age, our skin gets thinner on our neck and the platysma—a thin sheet of muscle—starts to separate, resulting in banding on the neck. Lifestyle choices can also be a factor in neck banding. For instance, if you lift weights or clench your jaw, your platysma muscle may be prominent. A contracted platysma also amplifies the jowls, where the muscle inserts into the cheek.
The good news is that BOTOX or Dysport is a highly effective treatment to smooth out banding and treat jowls. The Nefertiti non-surgical neck lift takes about 15 minutes.
4. Belkyra/ Deoxycholic Acid
If you have stubborn, diet- and exercise-resistant submental fat on your chin, you might be a good candidate for Belkyra or Deoxycholic acid injections. Belkyra dissolves the fat in as little as three treatments. The results are permanent, but you will experience swelling after treatment. Plan to lay low for a day or two after treatment until the swelling subsides.
I have given you a high-level overview of treatment options, but every client is unique. I’d be happy to discuss how we can tweak your jawline so you can put your best face forward.
