Morpheus 8, Endymed, Fractora: What the heck is RF Microneedling?

As we get older the matrix, meshwork or scaffolding in our skin starts to diminish. Our skin doesn't create collagen quick enough to replace it, the elastin doesn't repair as swiftly and deteriorates. The support inside the skin breaks down, and it loses bounce. Wrinkles form, along with loose, sagging, thin, dry skin as the result.

A solution would be creating more collagen faster and tightening up your skin's elastin. Radio Frequency Microneedling does this. The other names are what the devices are called, the effect in the skin is the same. It's a treatment that uses many fine needles that cause micro channels then pulses a radio frequency current through the needles deeper into the skin which enhances the healing response. The cascade of healing properties cleans up the deteriorated elastin and collagen, and boosts generation of these two pillars in the skin.

What does it treat?

Not only is it very effective in prevention, it also can treat: Fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, loose sagging skin, cellulite and scars from trauma.

How many treatments?

In most cases, you’ll need at least 3 sessions. How many depends on what you’re treating. Something like acne scars could take 6-8 sessions.

These sessions will be done every 3 to 6 weeks.

How long will it last?

You’ll see results after 3 to 6 months. The exact time frame depends on the type and severity of your condition. After the initial set of treatments, the results will last about 1 year. It’s recommended to have a touch-up session once a year to maintain your desired results.

I know that all the devices, procedures and promises that are floating around out there can be daunting. I am happy to help you navigate through it all, and come up with what may be the best course of action for you. Do not hesitate to book a consultation with me so we can chat.
