Fall and winter have been known as "Laser Season" in the industry. The reason is because we spend more time indoors and the hot summer sun turns much cooler for us Canadians. This simplifies things when it comes to healing from laser treatments. Most people don't know which laser treatments would be best for their goals. I've written a high-level explantation of the three most popular.
Fractional laser treatments.
These can be frerred to as profractional, fraxel or laser peels. They can be both ablative or non ablative. These treatments are effective for improving wrinkles, uneven complexion, Sun damage, acne scars, and collagen production.
The concept is the laser beam is broken into thousands of tiny beams that target only a fraction of the skin. This leaves microscopic columns of untreated tissue, which has the benefit of faster, more efficient healing time, with less complications than ablative resurfacing.
Downtime can be 4-7 days
Most need 2-4 treatments 4-6 weeks apart.
Many clients like to focus this treatment around the eye and mouth area.

Rf Micro needling. more specifically- Jawline tightening & Jowl reduction.
The BEST results are achieved when a combination of Rf micro-needling and skin tightening procedures are used in conjunction with each other.
These procedures tighten the skin along the jawline, cleans up elastin, speeds up collagen production and helps reverse Sun damage.
When skin tightening alone is used there is no Downtime.
When Rf micro-needling is used there is downtime of approximately 4 days. you can apply make up on day 5.
Skin tightening needs to repeated every 2 weeks for 8 weeks.
Rf micro-needling. or resurfacing, is repeated 3 times, every 4 weeks.

Photo Facials.
This treatment involves Intense Pulsed light or Broad Band light. The heat from the light that travels through the skin is absorbed by the pigment that is in its path, which then gets destroyed, absorbed and cleaned up with the body's natural clean up system.
Photo Facials treat: sunspots, freckles, red spots, dilated blood vessels and dark hair follicles. All this improves tone, texture and the overall glow of your skin.
There is no downtime, but you should not workout for 48 hours and you will want to avoid your typical skincare regime for 3 days.
Photo facials can be repeated every 4 weeks.
