How to define the jawline
Soon after Juvéderm launched Volux in 2019, there was a lot of buzz about jawline tweakments. That’s because expertly injected Volux can create a more defined jawline with long-lasting results.
The evolution of fillers gives us the ability to sculpt and contour cheeks, chins and jawlines. A skilled injector will know which hyaluronic acid (HA) filler will get the best, natural-looking result for each client.
As we age, our faces start to look more square and we lose the sharp angle of the jawline. Our chins, jowls and neck start to sag into one body part. Most of us do not appreciate the wattle or look of a turtle.
Many of my clients are happy to learn that strategically placed filler can lift cheeks and create more youthful contours. Belkyra (Deoxycholic acid) injections can melt the fat of the double chin. Jawline filler can reduce the appearance of jowls and give the jawline a sharper appearance, with results lasting anywhere from 12 to 24 months. Botox can help relax the platysma muscles from pulling down the sides of the face and allow the skin to become tighter to the neck.
Everyone’s face is unique. There’s no cookie-cutter approach to restoring volume and balance, but the products and techniques are so sophisticated now that no one would ever guess you had “work” done.
I'd be happy to discuss which technique might work best for you. We all need a personalized plan for our future faces.
